CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS AND TUTORIALS

Call for Special Sessions

The 33rd MLSP workshop invites proposals for Special Sessions on topics that have not been covered in regular MLSP sessions and that have the potential to have a major impact on the field in the near future. Special Session proposals must contain the following information:

  • Title of the proposed Special Session
  • Names, affiliations, and contact information of the session organizers
  • Brief biographies of the session organizers
  • Brief description of the proposed session topic and discussion on why this is a good topic for an MLSP 2023 Special Session (up to 500 words)
  • List of six (6) contributed papers (including titles, author names and affiliations, and a short abstract).

The papers in each accepted Special Session will undergo the same review evaluation process of the regular papers submitted to MLSP 2023.

Special Session Proposals can be submitted via the Microsoft CMT Submission System.

Important Dates

  • March 20 March 30 (extended), 2023: Deadline for special session proposal submissions
  • March 27 April 5 (extended), 2023: Notification of accepted special sessions
  • April 28 May 10 (extended), 2023: Deadline for regular paper submissions
  • July 3, 2023: Notification of paper acceptance
  • July 17, 2023: Camera-ready upload

Call for Tutorials

The 33rd MLSP workshop will host a tutorial program to offer participants the chance to explore innovative trends and learn new techniques related to machine learning and signal processing, both fitting for the research audience and industrial audience. Tutorials will occupy 2-hour slots on the first day of the conference, September 17. Tutorial levels may be intermediate or advanced. Topics of broad interest are preferred. A tutorial proposal must include:

  • The proposed title
  • Duration (1 to 4 hours)
  • A structured description of the contents
  • A brief discussion about why the tutorial topic is important to the community
  • A description of the expected outcomes for attendees
  • Names, affiliations, contact information and brief biography of the speakers(s)
  • A list of recent publications related to the tutorial topic from the speakers in the past 3 years.
  • Specify any previous versions of the material given by any of the presenters, and if and how it will be modified for MLSP 2023.
